When posting a suggestion
Be clear, through and precise with your idea. Try to cover all the bases and questions that may come up with your idea in the actual suggestion.
Use examples of how your idea will be implemented. This makes your idea easier to grasp especially if it is a complex suggestion with a lot of little nuances, etc.
Take into consideration the limits of PAWN and the limits of our mighty scripter, xxx. It's not required that you know PAWN, but it's recommended you spend some time with the code to get a better grasp on it so you are not always asking "is this scritable?"
Be creative. Throw out random ideas if you'd like. Maybe the community will like them, maybe they won't. No one will shun you if your idea isn't that great.
When responding to a suggestion
Remember how hard some people work on their suggestions. Recognize that many people enjoy thinking of these suggestions and take them seriously. Respect is the name of the game.
Make your replies count. Don't do a simple /vote no/yes or a "this idea rules/!@#$%s". Put some thought into your reply. Offer suggestions to the suggestion. Express your opinion like you care about it. If you don't like idea, explain why, offer counter suggestions, or ideas that could improve the original suggestion.
Sometimes the suggestor isn't clear. Question them and let them explain it in better terms if you are having a hard time grasping it.
The Suggestion Forum should be a free exchange of ideas on how to better the server. Were all players here and anything done on the server affects all of us, so take that into consideration. Be proud of Chillpoint and show your pride through trying to better it.
On Wiki
- Do not make the ideas personal, and phase things without adding opinions. DON'T say things like: "I think", "It would be cool if...", "...that would be cool to me", etc.
- Use the discussion pages and forums to hash out the idea, but make it non-personal, clear and presentable in the overall ideas page on the wiki.
- Do not create redundant or similar ideas to other suggestions on the wiki, instead disuss the idea into once coherent concept to present on that idea's page.
- If you don't follow these rules you're ideas will be deleted.
