Whether you're jumping/falling off a tall building, or leaping from a plane thousands of meters up, the parachute is an absolute necessity unless you want to be a puddle for some bizarre reason.

Once you have equipped the parachute with "/use parachute" or "/use p" for short, you can open it while falling by pushing the Fire Weapon key.
