Suggested Behavior

All players on Chillpoint are responsible for their own behavior on the Chillpoint Special Server. No matter how other people may behave, make sure you behave in a calm, mature manner. Use your common sense. Be patient and tolerant with other players and their ideas. This is a list of suggested behavior on Chillpoint. Admins may punish you for some of these things if they want to:

• Don’t insult, tease, curse at, or make offensive comments to other users. Racism, sexist and homophobic remarks will never be tolerated. Treat people the way you want them to treat you.

• When choosing a nick name make sure it is easy to spell and doesn’t offend anybody. If an admin asks you to change your nick, do it.

• When there is no admin in-game you can use the vote system to punish a player. However the vote system can only be used if a player breaks the rules or does anything out of line as written in this suggested behavior. The vote system can not be used, just because you don’t like someone. Do not vote on a started vote if you don’t know what is going on.

• Do not abuse the vote system. All votes are logged. If a player abuses the vote system, a punishment will be given.

• Use the bounty feature wisely, anything admins see as abuse will be punished.

• When an event is taking place, make sure you do not disturb them. Events are most likely announced in the Planning and Organization section. However, spontaneous events can take place any time. If an event is going on, make sure you do anything possible to not disturb it. This also means, when playing as a cop or military, don’t arrest or go after State Fugitives.

• Do not abuse the wanted level system. This means: do not go in and out of the security class (cop and military) or transport vehicles, just to increase your wanted level.

• Don’t use the /kill command to avoid being raped, robbed, arrested or killed.

• Don’t use the /quit command to avoid being raped, robbed, arrested or killed.

• The report system (command: /report <id> <reason> can only be used in-game. Keep reports simple. Make sure you report the proper id and use clear words. All reports will be handled in-game or on IRC and will not be handled on the forums. Do not abuse the /report system or your reports will be ignored. Shouting reports in main talk will be ignored. Only proper reports will be taken seriously.

• If you see someone breaking the rules, don’t start with voting or reporting. Tell rulebreakers about the rules, where to find them. Don’t threaten to report them, don’t insult them.

• As for new players: Treat them with respect. Guide them, tell them what to do and how to behave. Don’t harass new players.

All users are expected to follow the rules and keep in mind the suggested behavior at all times.

The rule list is in no way to end all of what admins can and cannot punish you for. To play on Chillpoint you must demonstrate common sense, respect, and decent behavior towards your fellow players and the admins at all times. Failure to do this or to follow any of the rules will result in a punishment.
