Law Enforcement is in charge of keeping the streets of the Chillpoint server clean of criminals. This class is able to ticket users, issue warrants for wanted users and can arrest wanted individuals. When an individual becomes wanted and is put on the wanted list (accessed with /wanted). Police then use /rp to report the wanted individuals location and to obtain an arrest warrant and then use /ar to arrest the individual. Players with a wanted level of 9 or below can only be arrested. Once a player gets a wanted level of 10 or above they become state fugitve, their blip turns red, their arrest reward is increased and a cop can also choose to kill this player instead of arresting them.
Police are paid according to the wanted level of those they are arresting. The current formula is $5000 for the arrest plus the wanted level times 1000. For example arresting someone with a wanted level of 5 would earn the officer $10000 (5000 + 5*1000 = 10000). This reward caps at wanted level 10, so the max an officer could make on one arrest is $15000 for anyone with a wanted level of 10 or above.
Specific Rules
- A cop may never kill anyone but most wanted players. Any cop who kills a non-state fugitve player is sent to jail automatically for 5 minutes and can only be paroled by an admin.
- Cops may shoot at a car containing a wanted player in order to force them out of the car in order to arrest them.
- Do not issue multiple tickets one after another to one individual, as this is ticket abuse. You may issue one ticket to a suspect you are pursuing, but no more than that.
Special Commands
- /wanted [s] gives a list of all wanted players and their wanted levels. Adding s lists the state fugitives (10 and above).
- /tk issues a ticket to a nearby individual. These tickets are limited to those who are speeding or who have not moved for a certain amount of time. If an individual does not pay their ticket they will become wanted or their wanted level will increase by 1
- /uv unlocks a nearby locked vehicle with a wanted player inside. The cop will then be able to enter the vehicle, and arrest the suspect.
- /rp reports the position of a wanted individual and issues a warrant. A warrant is needed to arrest someone. /rp can be used to inform other cops of the location of the wanted player.
- /ar arrests a wanted individual. You must be near the individual to arrest them.
- /bk calls for police backup. Your location will broadcast to all other cops who are online requesting their backup.
- /parole <id|nick releases an individual from jail. You must be in the LV Police Department and near the player in order to parole them. Players sent to jail by admins or jailed at the hospital cannot be paroled.
