The COC (Citizens Organizing Chillpoint) Party is a political party on Chillpoint. It is a democratic party founded on the ideals that everyone is free and equal and can prosper in the wonderful cities of Los Santos, San Fierro and Las Venturas.

Mayoral Race

First Election

The first political race the party joined was the race for mayor, in May 2007. The party's creator, congested was the cantidate running for office. MrColonist is the campaign manager and Shin is the designer of the ads. Congested won the race and became the first Mayor of Las Venturas on the server. Congested ended his time as mayor with a parade on September 2nd, 2007. He was assasinated at the parade. Congested served for more than six 2-week terms as mayor.

Issues

Congested's main issues while running were:

• Travel to the moon - Congested created a plan to take select astronauts to the moon!
• Organizing Events More events while Congested is Mayor. He worked closely with past event organizers to create fun, new and challenging events for the whole community. He organized a gang war event and a parade. The parade was to mark the end of his time in office which ended September 1st, 2007.
• Reducing crime/rapes - Congested worked closely with rapists and police to reduce sexual crimes while he was Mayor.
• Defeating Communism and Socialist movments (like the DCP) - Congested does not believe in communism.
• No taxes! Congested will paid the heavy taxes and burdens out of his own pocket. He and the COC parted lent money to people who needed it as well.
• Campaign Finance Reform - Congested plans on eliminating gangs and large corporations from donating to political campaigns were a big part of the campaign.
• FREE PIE! - If you voted for Congested you got free pie.

• "Stand Up ChillPoint!" - This Slogan can be seen on several of the first election's campaign ads.

Mayoral Debates

The Mayoral Debates were two events prior to the first election. The first debate was between congested of the COC Party and Fargo of DCP. The debate took place on May 25th, 2007. A second debate was held between congested and DrDrug of DCP who stood in for Fargo on May 27th, 2007 to continue Cadet's un-answered questions from the first debate.

The Second Great War

The Second Great War was an event organized by Mayor congested and The COC Party. It was a war between The Morrelo Family and The Syndicate and it took place on Sunday, June 10th 2007. For more information about The Second Great war please see its page on the Chillpoint Wiki.

The COC Parade

There was a parade marking the end of summer, 2007 and Congested's resignation on Sunday, September 2nd, 2007. The parade involved different groups and gangs coming together for Congested's resignation speech as mayor. In true RP-fasion Congested was murdered during the speech by BrainToad, a top aid for the COC party. This ended his six consecutive (two week) terms in office that began in May. The assasination/parade and resignation speech took place the day before "Labor Day" which signifies the end of summer in the United States of America. Because he is dead, congested is unable to participate in politics on the server in any elected role in the future.

Chillpoint Awards 2007

The COC Parade was voted best event of 2007 in the Chillpoint Awards by server users. Congested, the creator of the event, accepted the award in person and attributed its success due to the RP-adventure nature of the event.

Second Election (cancelled)

Vince was the candidate for the COC Party in the original 2nd election. Vince was the perfect candidate to continue the outstanding legacy that has kept Las Venturas the wonderful place that it has been under The COC party's control. The election was cancelled by admins due to forum insults and arguments.

Vince hit the ground running this election, with his campaign manager congested. The two of them released three television ads immediately after launching the campaign. Three other ads were produced but remain un-released due to the cancelation of the election. Andresk released a vulgar video laden with insults that was the ultimate cause of the election's cancellation. While he was punished for this, in the end everyone was forced to suffer from the effects of the election's cancelation.

Slogans

"One Server, One Vision" was the slogan for Vince's campaign.
